"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths." (Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV)

Pastor said it best in explaining how, "The heart is the seat to all that we care about." The heart is also where our emotions are stored, namely love being one of the strongest. Trust is an indicator of love. But here's the thing, trusting people has now nor has it ever been an easy task for me. When someone doesn't keep their word or follow through on a promise, it effects me on a deeper level than how it may impact most people (a lot of people can brush things like that off). Something so simple as someone not calling when they said they would or hinting around the whole truth of a matter; I pick up on things like that, and it cuts deep. It reopens wounds that are still trying to heal. So in understanding that, know that this journey with Jesus and trust has been on-going and certainly one for the books.
When it comes to trusting God, we've got to trust Him with all our hearts, all our souls, all our minds [Matthew 22:37]. And He's been teaching me just how to do that. Life is different with Jesus; it's better. I'm better. God has never broken a promise; He's never steered me wrong. He has never let me down. Now, I've been let down when situations hadn't necessarily panned out the way I thought they should or wished they would, but in those times, God has shown me that His plan is better than anything I could (and did) imagine.
"It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes." (Psalm 118:8-9)
"And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward: Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;" (2 Corinthians 3:4-5)
"Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust." (Psalm 16:1)
God never fails. Father knows best. His plan and His ways are the best. Let's believe Him. Let's trust Him. He is worth it. Give Him a chance; you'll see. TRUST in Jesus. Trust in the Lord because of how He loves you (sacrificial, selfless, perfect love); He is worth your heart, your love, your affection, your trust. Thank you, Jesus<3
