"Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together." (John 4:35-36)

One of my most used sayings is, "Nothing worth it comes easy." And more often than not, that saying has proven true. It's a process, and processes require wait periods. And I don't know about you but waiting isn't always easy. [It's never really been my strong suit, but I'm learning.] Sometimes, the wait can seem daunting and never-ending. It can be overwhelming as challenges continue to mount up. It can be scary when it looks as though nothing is happening (the way we think it should). But as Isaiah 40:31 reminds us, “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Waiting on the Lord is never for naught. God knows what He’s doing. We have to remember that He knows and sees all. Our viewpoint is one-sided; God’s is all-encompassing. And even though things may not look as we believe they should, we can rest assured that our almighty God knows exactly what He’s doing, and He doesn't need our help. [I'm just grateful that He'd want me.] His plan is the best plan. We can trust Him:

  • Even when…circumstances seem impossible to face.

  • Even if...we feel helpless.

  • Even if...It seems like what we're doing isn't making a difference.

  • Even when...It seems like nothing is happening. [Remember: "...we walk by faith, not by sight." (2 Corinthians 5:7)

Lord, help us to always harvest on. To till the land. To plant the seeds. To water. While we HOPEFULLY and PATIENTLY WAIT as YOU GIVE THE INCREASE.

"I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase." (1 Corinthians 3:6)
"So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building." (1 Corinthians 3:7-9)

Let’s plow on, Church, with Jesus! Let's do what we can with what we have, and trust God to do the rest. Only He can! Remember: He's worth our trust! I look forward to rejoicing together! Jesus will work it out<3
