"Since when has impossible ever stopped you!" (Lyrics from the song, Rattle, by Elevation Worship)
I don’t know about you, but there are somethings in life that just seem absolutely impossible. Like given circumstances and how things look, there’s no possible way that thing could ever come to fruition. No? Just me?
Well for me, in hindsight AND forward thinking, I know that as Christians “…we walk by faith, not by sight.” (2 Corinthians 5:7). And I also know that “…without faith it is impossible to please Him [God]…” (Hebrews 11:6). But we’re human, right? We are living in this world, so we get disgruntled and down by it at times. That’s why I’m constantly asking God to help my faith. Increase my faith. Grow my faith. Keep me in the faith. And go figure, He has and does because if I keep on thinking and take a stroll down memory lane remembering all of the things of the past that certainly seemed impossible at the time…the impossible somehow was made POSSIBLE. And I’ve got two words for that…BUT GOD!!! Yes, as a mere human with limited means, there’s only so much that I can do. Ohhh but my God, the God of the universe, the God who is all-powerful is not bound by human limitations or constraints.
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” (Isaiah 55:8-9)
“For with God nothing shall be impossible.” (Luke 1:37)
“But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.” (Matthew 19:26)
“For in Him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in Him, which is the head of all principality and power:” (Colossians 2:9-10)
So to all the seemingly impossible situations/tasks/dreams out there, I shout hopefully...FAITHfully to my Father, “Since when has impossible ever stopped you!” Thank you, Jesus, my Lord and my God!!! The God of POSSIBILITIES!!
“Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.” (Ephesians 3:20-21)
