Your Cries Have Awoken the Master: Experiencing the Power of the Holy Ghost

And so it begins… [PRAISE REPORT]

“Well, I never heard that one before!” You sure you don’t need help?” he said standing outside of her driver side window watching the tears flow and hearing the laughter. “No, sir. Jesus is my help. Thank you.” she responded to the police officer who’d eventually pulled to the side of the highway behind her after she’d become overwhelmed by the Spirit again! She told him she’d just left church and became overwhelmed by the Holy Spirit which is why she pulled over in the first place.

-------------------------{A little over an hour before that moment}----------------------------

She was at the altar with much of the congregation as the year 2019 and service was coming to a close. “3 more minutes…Fragments…Pick them up…God’s talking to somebody right now…” she heard faintly in the background as Bro. Cody Marks spoke. And she started talking to God more passionately, fervently than she ever had before. She didn’t want to miss it – she couldn’t miss Him/God. She felt like screaming but kept thinking, “Now’s not the right place – it’s not the time – it would be disruptive – people might look funny.” But she felt weird. Something was going on in her, and she had to let it out.

“Jesus! Jesus!” she started screaming at the top of her lungs (though it appeared no one else heard her). “Jesus! Jesus!” she screamed as she bowed over and was lowered to the ground in humility. “Jesus! Jesus!” she screamed as the dam broke…tears poured out as something pulsated her body. “Jesus!” she screamed as she cried out to the Master.

He picked her. God picked her. It was finally her time – “Now is the time,” He said. God’s Spirit moved as the nonsensical words and noises flowed from her mouth to touch heaven. Her tongue loosed and lower lip quivered, and it kept pouring out. She knew what she’d wanted to say each time. She tried to say, “Thank you, Jesus!” again and again and again but every time, something else would pour out of her mouth. It was overwhelming and powerful. It was unexpected and amazing. It was God! Thank you, Jesus!

The “she” and “her” referred to in these experiences are me, Diary. She/Her is me! It was months ago, Diary, when Jesus led me to 2 Timothy 1 as I was seeking the Holy Ghost at home. The scriptures and Timothy’s life resonated with me and stuck.

“Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.” (2 Timothy 1:6 KJV)

I knew those scriptures and that message was for me. And not long after that when I became discouraged still not receiving it, the Lord told me while I was down praying one day that it’s okay and to wait – that He was making me wait – it’s not my time.

I have been saying a lot here lately in talking to God, “I believe you.” Just yesterday morning, I found myself crying and praying fervently, and I just remember saying, “Lord, pick me, pick me. Here I am. Pick me.” I find it no coincidence that the Lord revealed to me through Exodus on God’s use of man and how Pharaoh’s skewed perception didn’t align because his focus and what he saw Moses as was a godman (god complex in a man), but God clarified over and over how He/God (I AM) used/s the man. He/I AM is the power. And then last night, God used Bro. Vanhook to confirm through those same scriptures and the same message about GOD (I AM) – who He is, His power, and how He used/s the man.

Bro. Cody Marks (I recognized his voice after a while when I was in the altar) came up around me and said, “I’m gonna lay my hands on you…[insert something about the Holy Ghost and speaking in tongues…]” and 2 Timothy came to remembrance, and I recall saying, “Jesus, I believe you!”

God lined it up. He prepared me to experience Him like I never had before (and I believe it to be only the beginning). God makes it very clear that it’s Him…His power/Spirit at work. What a God that I’m grateful would pick me. And I’m sure grateful for the people He’s used/s (namely my Pastor and Sis. Edwards, Bro. Cody Marks, and so many others) to lead me closer to Him <3

SHE/HER is me, and I didn’t miss it! Baptized of water AND Spirit! What. A. GOD!!! Thank you, Jesus!!! Use me, Lord, for thy good pleasure in Jesus’ name. Amen.
